The 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “MYSS – My Smart School” was held in Catania on May 19 and 20, and was the first in-person meeting after the end of the state of emergency due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The partners had the opportunity to strengthen their fellowship and feel a growing empathy in their collaboration for the success of the project. The meeting, chaired by VITECO, was attended by 8 staff members from all consortium organizations, including Liceo Majorana for Italy, Idec and Nikaia School for Greece, Cenform and Ciugud School for Romania.
During the meeting, the partners outlined the results already completed and the next tasks to be completed, including all related deadlines, analyzing the critical points of the project and implementing corrective actions, thus finalizing IO2 and focusing on IO3 and the dissemination campaign. Then, the quality reports of IO1 and IO2 were analyzed along with the reports of the 3 pilots and previous TPMs. In this phase the partners analyzed the critical points that emerged during the pilot activities and planned the most relevant adjustments to be implemented in the platform and online tools.
The last part of the meeting focused on IO3 – Teacher Diaries and Recommendations and the project’s dissemination campaign. IO3 involves the development of a Manual to collect teachers’ experiences in using the digital platform and their recommendations for its best adoption. Attention has also been paid to the strategy that each partner will put in place for a successful dissemination campaign. In addition, a careful plan was laid out for future events, including the Multiplier Events that will take place in 2023. These events will be particularly important to promote the project results to as many teachers as possible at all levels (local, regional, national, and European) and to all possible stakeholders (educational authorities, teacher associations, NGOs, etc.).
The last part of the meeting saw a review of administrative and financial aspects as well as the establishment of dates for the next online and in-person meetings. In addition, all meeting participants received a certificate of attendance.
On the 19th evening, all partners enjoyed a nice dinner at a typical Sicilian restaurant in Catania, and on the 20th morning they took a sightseeing tour of the city and neighboring seaside villages, a fun-recreational teambuilding activity designed with the purpose of getting to know one another better!
